Bart Moriarty RIP
Kerry GAA is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Bart Moriarty, whose lifetime of service to the Association included outstanding contributions in refereeing administration at club, county, provincial and national level.
Bart dedicated more than seven decades to the GAA, serving as Kerry GAA referees’ administrator and assessor, representing Kerry on the Munster Council, working with the Munster referees’ committee, acting as a referees’ assessor at Croke Park and most recently as the referees’ delegate to Kerry County Board. A long-standing member and former President of Laune Rangers, he was widely respected for the guidance and support he offered to referees at every level of the game.
While associated with Laune Rangers and St Mary’s, and with the Dublin clubs Peadar Mackens and its successor An Ríocht, Bart often spoke of the immense personal satisfaction his lifetime involvement in the GAA brought him.
We extend our sincere condolences to his family; Bríd, Seán, Tadhg, Sinéad, Ben and Dylan, his extended family members and many friends.
