The County U16 Poc Fada competition took place recently on Kerryhead Mountain under glorious sunshine and scenic views.
6 contestants took part; Callum Carey Sheehy, Ballyduff; Cian Harris, Tralee Parnells; Adam Byrne, Firies; Bodie Leen, St. Brendan’s Ardfert; Luke Fitzmaurice, Abbeydorney and Mathew O’Sullivan, Ballyheigue.
1st place went to Bodie Leen, St Brendan’s Ardfert who now goes forward to represent Kerry in the Munster Final on Saturday on Kerryhead Mountain.
2nd Place: Cian Harris, Tralee Parnells
3rd Place: Callum Carey Sheehy, Ballyduff
We would like to thank everybody involved – those who marked score sheets, the ball spotters, Colm O’Brien and Tim Daly who helped out to run the event and the North Kerry Hurling Board who sponsored the event.
It was a very enjoyable evening on the mountain.
