Corn Pháidí Uí Shé launched

Munster GAA officially unveiled Corn Pháidí Uí Shé, the new trophy for the Munster Senior Football Championship, at a special launch event in Ventry, Co. Kerry on Wednesday evening. The launch took place in the late Páidí Ó Sé’s Pub, a fitting venue to honour one of the province’s most iconic football figures.

The new trophy is named in memory of the legendary Kerry footballer and manager, whose legacy continues to inspire generations across Munster and beyond.

Speaking at the launch, Munster GAA Chairman Tim Murphy paid tribute to Páidí Ó Sé’s outstanding contribution to Gaelic games, highlighting his influence both on and off the field. Members of the Ó Sé family were also in attendance, alongside Kerry captain Paul Geaney and representatives from the Kerry County Board. Musical entertainment was provided by Caroline Keane & Tom Delany.

The Corn Pháidí Uí Shé will be presented to the winners of the Munster Senior Football Championship for the first time on Sunday next.

Seoladh Corn Pháidí Uí Shé

Sheol Comhairle CLG na Mumhan Corn Pháidí Uí Shé, an corn nua do Chraobh Sinsir Peile na Mumhan go oifigiúil ag ócáid speisialta i gCeann Trá, Co. Chiarraí tráthnóna Dé Céadaoin. Bhí an seoladh ar siúl i dteach tábhairne Páidí Ó Sé, nach maireann, ionad oiriúnach le hómós a thabhairt do dhuine de laochra móra peile an chúige.

Tá an corn nua tiomnaithe i gcuimhne ar an imreoir agus bainisteoir mór le rá ó Chiarraí, agus is cinnte go bhfuil a oidhreacht fós mar fhoinse inspioráide do ghlúnta ar fud na Mumhan agus níos faide i gcéin.

Ag labhairt dó ag an seoladh, thug Cathaoirleach Chomhairle Mumhan, Tim Murphy, ómós d’éachtaí Páidí Uí Shé, agus dá thionchar ar an bpáirc agus lasmuigh den bpáirc.

Bhí baill de theaghlaigh Uí Shé i láthair chomh maith le captaen sinsir Chiarraí, Paul Geaney, agus ionadaithe ó Bhord Contae Chiarraí. Chuir Caroline Keane agus Tom Delany siamsaíocht ar fáil don ócáid.

Bronnfar Corn Pháidí Uí Shé ar bhuaiteoirí Chraobh Sinsir Peile Mumhan den chéad uair Dé Domhnaigh seo chugainn.
