Niamh Fannon (Vacant Homes Officer) and Vincent Horgan (Housing Department) of Kerry County Council made two presentations to GAA club delegates at Monday night’s meeting of the County committee.
Niamh Fannon (Vacant Homes Officer) , Vincent Horgan (Housing Department) and Mike Murphy (Demographics Officer)
The presentations focused on the grants and support available to restore and bring back into use vacant and derelict homes. Housing is one of the biggest demographic challenges facing people in our county. Over 8,000 properties in Kerry were recorded as vacant in the most recent National Census.
Bringing properties back to life is a vital instrument in ensuring our clubs and communities thrive. Details of the grants and further information can be found on the Kerry County Council website at the following link: https://www.kerrycoco.ie/vacant-property-grant/ and in the images below.
