What a positive sign it is to see the Kerry Senior Football Team back in training at the Centre of Excellence in Currans tonight and the Kerry Hurlers are back in Caherslee! Training at both venues was conducted in line with the published Covid 19 guidelines. At last, there is light at the end of the Covid tunnel and we are hopeful that ‘normal life’ is beginning to return.
We now have Allianz League fixtures to look forward to as well as knowing our Quarter Final opponents in the Munster Championship. Peter Keane, Fintan O’Connor and their Management Teams are busy making preparations for the games ahead.
Peter Keane earlier today issued the following statement confirming that Centre Half Back Peter Crowley has retired from Inter-County football “Peter Crowley will be missed particularly for his energy, determination and experience on the training field and in the dressing room. I’d like to wish Peter the best of luck and thank him for the commitment he has always shown to the green and gold.”
All involved with Kerry GAA echo Peter Keane’s sentiments and we sincerely thank Peter Crowley for his enormous contribution to Kerry Football over the past 10 years and wish him the very best in the future
Unfortunately, it is unlikely that supporters will be permitted to attend the earlier round games. However, all games will either be televised or streamed. The cheers from the Kerry Supporters are sorely missed but we all look forward with hope to the return of Supporters to the Stands in the near future. Tonight is the start of something positive! Ciarraí Abú!
