Kerry Under 21s continue preparation for Munster Championship campaign
The Kerry Under 21 footballers, under manager Jack O’Connor, continue their preparation for their opening game in the Munster Championship against Tipperary which is just three weeks away on March 9th. The game will mark for the first fixture under the new floodlighting system in Austin Stack Park. Kerry have gone seven campaigns without adding to their haul of 25 titles, their last title at Under 21 level in the province coming in 2008 when they went on to All Ireland glory under the captaincy of Killian Young. While Kerry have been quite successful at minor level over the past three years, their opponents, Tipperary, have also had a most successful innings at underage level reaching both Minor and Under 21 All Ireland finals. The winner of the Kerry V Tipperary game will play Limerick in the semi final a week later and the final is fixed for April 6th.
