Senior Football League Roundup

With the exception of a number of games where teams were involved in the County and Club Championship games, Round 10, the penultimate round of the Credit Union Senior Football League, took place last weekend.
There were just two games in Division 1 where Legion move onto 14 points with victory over Waterville and they are in second place, one ahead of Desmonds who did not play. Both Finuge and St Michaels-Foilmore are relegated while Waterville are on 7 points with Kilcummin on 8.

In Division 2, Templenoe defeated Laune Rangers to go two clear at the top ahead of Kenmare who defeated Emmets. Rathmore, John Mitchels and Spa are on 13 points each with a game in hand. At the bottom, Tarbert are relegated following their loss to Currow, Laune Rangers are tethering on the brink on 5 points from 10 games, Gneeveguilla are on 6 points from 9 games and Currow’s win gives them hope on 6 points from 10 games.

In Division 3, Beaufort are promoted as champions following victory over St pats and there are three teams going for the other two promotion places all of whom are on 13 points namely An Ghaeltacht, Listry and Annascaul. As luck would have it, Listry play Beaufort and Annascaul play An Ghaeltacht in the final round. At the bottom Na Gael are relegated on 4 points, Beale and Ballymac are on 7 points while Ardfert with a game in hand and Skellig Rangers are on 8 points.

In Division 4, Ballydonoghue, on 16 points, are promoted following victory over Cordal St Senans are on 14 points and Dromid have moved into third place on 12 points following victory over Lispole. Scartaglen are still in with a good chance on 11 points with a game in hand against Dr Crokes. At the bottom, Cordal and Cromane are relegated, Castlegregory are on 8 points with Churchill, Lispole and Dr Crokes, who have that game in hand, on 9 points.

In Division 5, Moyvane and Renard top the table on 16 points with Renard pipping Valentia by a point in the local derby, Valentia are third but all three are promoted to Division 4 next season.
