Castlegregory 0-9 St Senan's 0-12

The home side Castlegregory started with a slight wind but it took them a full five minutes to get into the St. Senan's danger zone. Neither side brought their kicking game early on as both sides exchanged many wides but close in frees conceded by both defences were punished with two points apiece after ten minutes.

Castlegregory started to win midfield and managed a great point from a tight angle on the 14th minute. However St. Senan's took the direct route with the kick out with a clean catch from midfielder to their full forward Paudie Quill who popped over a great long range point on 15th minute. Intensity continued and the game started to open up with St. Senan's measured build up yielding a score on the 21st minute. Castlegregory worked it up from the kick out with a smooth kicking move which ended in wing forward Timmy Moriarty breaking the lines and almost in on goal before being fouled which yielded a pointed free making it 4 apiece. Despite good play by the home side upfront, the backs continued to give scoreable frees away which St. Senan's punished including a pointed free in 26th minute. Half Time Score St.Senans 0-5, Castlegregory 0-4.

St Senan's completely dominated the second half, yielding some close in points. Castlegregory were finding it hard to get into the game they added a point from play and two pointed close in frees. However, Senan's pressure from kick outs was relentless and they popped over two more to make it five between the sides going into the final five minutes. Castlegregory mounted somewhat of a challenge, getting two 14m frees to leave a kick of a ball between the sides. A Shane Hennessy pile driver was blocked on the line and the final whistle sounded to give points to the visitors, Final Score St.Senans 0-12, Castlegregory 0-9.
