SFL Div 3 Round 8 Skellig Rangers 1.8 Na Gaeil 0.8 2015-07-26 21:48:00

Skellig Rangers 1-08 Na Gaeil 0-08

Skellig Rangers beat Na Gaeil on Sunday in a wet, misty Páirc Chill Imeallach on a scoreline of 1-8 to 0-8.

In a mistake-ridden game, Skellig always looked comfortable and played a good direct game with the aid of a breeze in a first half with points coming from Daragh O' Sullivan, Brendan Murphy. Martin O' Sullivan goaled after a high ball in. David Culloty tried hard around the middle for the Tralee side and they found it hard to play against the slight breeze. Shane Carey pointed for Na Gaeil to keep them in touch.
Na Gaeil came back strong into action in the second half and had good points from Padraig O' Sullivan. However, Diarmaid Keating pointed from 30 yards to keep 5 between the sides and despite being two points in it with minutes to go, Rangers pulled clear and ended the game winning by 3 points with their captain Bernard Walsh standing out. It was a slippery pitch which resulted in misplaced passes, interceptions, good tackling and breaking ball.
