Credit Union Senior Football League Round 7 Roundup

Despite going down by 0-15 to 1-8 to arch rivals Legion, Dr Crokes remain top of Division 1, however, Legion are just a point adrift of their Killarney rivals on 10 points along with Desmonds, who had a good win over lowly St Michaels-Foilmore. Milltown Castlemaine, who did not play this weekend, can join Dr Crokes at the top if they win their back game at home to Waterville on Saturday evening next. In Division 2, Kenmare were the only one of the top 3 to win with a big victory over struggling Tarbert to move to 11 poinyts. Currow surprised John Mitchels who were on home soil and in joint second place on 9 points, and Rathmore the other team in joint second place, were at the wrong end of a 1-13 to 1-12 score to St Marys in Caherciveen . Templenoe had a 22 point win over Emmets and are nicely placed in 4th position. At the other end of the table, Beale are in trouble on 2 points while above them, Skellig Rangers, Na Gaeil and Ardfert (who have 2 games in hand) are on 4 points each. There are four back games in Division 3 with Beaufort playing Ardfert on August 1st, Ardfert playing An Ghaeltacht on August 8th, Listry playing Beale on August 22nd and St Pats playing an Ghaeltacht on August 29th.
