Junior Club Football Championshiip Tarbert V Glenbeigh/Glencar 2015-04-20 12:00:00

Tarbert 1 - 06 Glenbeigh/Glencar 2 - 13

First round exit yet again for Tarbert in the Junior championship losing on a scoreline of 1-6 to 2-13 to a fancied Glanbeigh/Glencar side. Ambrose Lanigan opened the score for Tarbert before two points from Gavin O'Grady and a disputed point from Podge Griffin put Glenbeigh ahead 3-1 after fifteen minutes. Ambrose Lanigan responded with two more points before Gavin O'Grady put Glenbeigh up one approaching half time. All looked well for an exciting second half with Tarbert looking the sharper of the two teams.
An opportunist long range free from Glenbeigh just after the restart resulted in a goal by Darren O'Sullivan and this was followed by three more points within the space of three minutes to put daylight between the teams. Glenbeigh were dominating midfield and with Gavin O'Grady and Darren O'Sullivan in command, and despite Danny and Jason Wrenn's best efforts, always looked comfortable for victory. Tarbert despite their best efforts could not reduce the gap and a goal by Ambrose Lanigan gave them some hope, However but this was quickly followed by another Glenbeigh goal.
