Keanes Supervalu Killorglin Minor Football Leagues

The final Round of games in the Minor Football League wereplayed on this Friday evening and the following are the provisional playoff fixtures which have yet to be confirmed by the CCC.

The following are the play-off Regulations;

➢ Any Group with six teams = 2 S/Finals while any Group with 5 teams = 1 S/Final.
➢ For Groups with 6 teams - semi-finals: 1 v 4 and 2 v 3, with 1 and 2 having home advantage. However where CCC determines that travel involved is excessive – CCC will fix game for neutral venue. 
➢ For Groups with 5 teams - top team go straight into final and next two teams play in S/Final. 2nd place at home to 3rd place - However where CCC determines that travel involved is excessive – CCC will fix game for neutral venue.
➢ If there is a tie, the result of the league game will determine placing.
➢ If a play-off is necessary, CCC to decide venue.
➢ Extra time will be played in semi-finals and finals.

Division 1: Ballydonaghue V Dr Crokes; Dingle V Spa.

Division 2: An Ghaeltacht, Kenmare/Kilgarvan, Gneeveguillaand Legion all qualified for the semi finals.

Division 3A: Listowel Emmets v Annascaul/Lispole; Firies V Na Gaeil

Division 3B: Glenflesk V Beaufort, Desmonds V Keel/Listry

Division 4: St Senans in Final; Finuge V Ardfert

Division 5: St Pats in Final; Asdee/Bally V Beale

Division 6A: Skellig/Valentia in Final; Waterville/Dromid V Templenoe/Tuosist

Division 6B: Moyvane/Tarbert in Final; Fossa V Knock/Brosna

NB; All of above to be confirmed by CCC.

MFL Final Round

The final round of games in the Keane’s Supervalu Killorglin Minor football Leagues is down for decision on this Friday evening. As usual, there are a number of back games to be decided before the semi finalists are known with Colleges action by Pobal Scoil Chorca Dhuibhne and St Brendans Killarney hindering the progress in the top two divisions in particular.

In Division 1, Dingle and Ballydonoghue share top spot on 6 points with Spa on 4 and Dr Crokes, who have a back game against Dingle, on 2 points.

In Division 2, there are five teams on 4 points; An Ghaeltacht, Milltown, Legion, Kenmare/Kilgarvan and Gneeveguilla. There are two back games in this Division however;  An Ghaeltacht have yet to play Legion and Rathmore.

In Division 3A, Emmets top the table on 8 points followed by Firies on 6, Na Gaeil on 4 and Annascaul/Lispole on 2 with a game in hand against Kilcummin.

Division 3B, Glenflesk are on 8 points and through to the playoffs,, two ahead of Keel/Listry with Desmonds and Beaufort on 4 points each.

In Division 4, there was one game played on Friday evening last where St Senans had a big win over Currow. St Senans are on 6 points, Ardfert are on 5 points and Finuge are on 4 with the winners of the Finuge v Ardfert game going through to the final.

In Division 5, St Pats top the table on 6 points with Asdee/Ballylongford on 5 and they meet in the final game with the winners through to the final. Beale are on 3 points.

In Division 6A, Skellig/Valentia are on 6 points, Waterville/Dromid and Templenoe/Tuosist are on 4 points each.

Meanwhile, in Division 6B, Cordal/Scart, Fossa and Moyvane/Tarbert are on 4 points each with Moyvane/Tarbert down to play Kerins O’Rahillys B on Wednesday evening.

Play-off arrangements are as follows: Divisions with 6 teams, i.e. Divisions 1, 2, 3A and 3B, have semi finals and the remaining Divisions, all of whom have five teams, have one semi-final between second and third placed and a final. Where teams are tied on equal points, the result of the original game between both sides will determine who progresses.
