Piarsaigh na Dromada in Junior Club Champ Final 2014-10-19 22:08:00

Junior Semi Final in Killorglin
Dromid Pearses 1-8    Duagh 0-9

Despite the absence of Kerry senior, Declan O’Sullivan, Dromid Pearses made it through to the Junior Final with a two points victory over Duagh in Killorglin.

The winners led by 1-3 to no score after 30 minutes of play with Sean O’Shea getting the decisive goal in the 18th minute. Nigel O’Connor had Duagh’s first score in the 21st minute but the winners led by 1-4 to 0-4 at the break. The goal still separated the sides after 40 minutes (1-6 to 0-6) with Thomas Curran missing a good goal scoring chance for Dromid and Dylan O’Donoghue closed Dromid’s account with a point in the 49th minute to put the South Kerry side five clear. Duagh did reply with points from Jason Carmody, Anthony Maher and Maurice O’Connor but they never looked like pulling the game out of the fire.

Dromid will now play the winners of the Glenbeigh/Glencar vs Brosna tie in the final.
