Keanes Supervalu Killorglin Minor Football Championship Semi Fin 2014-08-28 09:55:00

The draw for the Keanes Supervalu Killorglin Minor football Championship semi finals, which are down for decision on this Thursday evening, resulted in identical pairings to last year so Dr Crokes will take on holders East Kerry and An Ghaeltacht will play local rivals Dingle.
Both games will throw-in at 6:30pm with An Ghaeltacht and Dingle meeting in Lispole and Spa the venue for the second semi final.

Both Dr Crokes who were defeated by Mid Kerry, and East Kerry, defeated by Shannon Rangers, have arrived at the semi finals via the back door route. Dr Crokes got a walk over from Feale Rangers in the losers round before going to Caherciveen and defeating South Kerry by a point. East Kerry, surprised by Shannon Rangers in the opening round, recovered well with high scoring wins over Kenmare, Austin Stacks and Mid Kerry and no doubt, there will be scores a plenty when the two Eastern rival will meet.
An Ghaeltacht had nine points to spare over St Kierans in their opening game before just holding out against Spa by the minimum margin in the quarter final while their West Kerry neighbours, Dingle, had a big win over West Kerry before disposing of Shannon Rangers by five points.
Last year An Ghaeltacht defeated Dingle by nine points in the semi final while East Kerry had four points to spare over Dr Crokes before winning the title outright. Both pairings are very evenly matched and there are no guarantees that there will be repeat results this time around and with an abundance of Kerry minor panellists in action these two games are sure to give value for money.
