Kieran Donaghy is back in training with Kerry

Kieran Donaghy is back in training with the Kerry Senior football team. Kerry Manager, Eamonn Fitzmaurice, speaking at a Kerry GAA pre Allianz League Press Briefing this evening, confirmed that the Austin Stacks player is back training one night per week and may even see action before the end of the League.

Meanwhile, Donaghy's teamate, Colm Cooper, has reiterated that he will not make a call on his future until Dr Crokes involvement in the All Ireland Club Championship has come to an end.

Dr Crokes, as county champions, have the honour of naming the Kerry captain for 2017 and again, they will do so following the club championship. Peter Crowley of Laune Rangers has been named captain in the interim and will lead Kerry in their first outing of the League against Donegal in a weeks time. Both Bryan Sheehan and Anthony Maher will miss the first two rounds of the League.
