Months of speculation surrounding the future of Kerry defender Tom O'Sullivan and whether he was or was not going to return to the Kerry squad ended last week, when O'Sullivan decided to call time on his glittering intercounty career with the Kingdom.
So the curtain came down an illustrious career that began back in 1999 and has seen O'Sullivan collect five All-Ireland senior medals in the green and gold.

The following Playing Rule changes which were passed at Congress on Saturday, April 14. These changes become operative from May 14 and are to be implemented in all competitions.
1. Football Only - "Square Ball" - This has been amended to allow a player enter the small rectangle once the final deliberate play of the ball has been made, i.e as soon as the player kicks, hand-passes, fist passes or deliberately flicks the ball into the small rectangle then the attacking player may enter. The rule is unchanged with regard to "Set Play" i.e. Free Kicks, Line Balls and 45s - in these instances players are not permitted to enter the small rectangle before the ball. The Launch of The Munster Championships took place in The Mallow GAA Complex last night. The focus at the launch was getting our patrons to the games at reasonable prices. Liamm O'Neill Uachtarán CLG, Sean Walsh Chairman of Munster GAA and Pat Spillane Guest speaker all addressed the fine gathering from all Munster Counties.
