Kilmoyley won their three-in-a-row AIB Senior County Senior Hurling Championship titles with style on Sunday last when they beat Lixnaw with a most impressive and highly skilful display of hurling, particularly during the second half when they showed real class and in the process dominated throughout the half both in attack and in defence.

Lixnaw, their opponents, were worthy opposition as they too displayed some exceptional skilful hurling during what has to be acknowledged as a most entertaining and accomplished game of hurling between two very well prepared teams. Lixnaw who played with the wind in the first half put it up to Kilmoyley put up a good lead from the outset.  Kilmoyley were a rejuvenated team during the second half and it was an uphill struggle for Lixnaw after that but to their credit they battled bravely to the finish.
