COUNTY FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP The second semi-final replay between South Kerry and Mid Kerry in the AIB County Senior Football Championship turned into a very one sided game with the reigning champions, South Kerry coasting their way into their fourth successive County Senior Final, in which they will meet Feale Rangers on Sunday November 11th. The curtain raiser at Fitzgerald Stadium last Sunday saw Mid Kerry draw with South Kerry in a most exciting and entertaining County Under 16 Interdivisional Football Championship Final. It was a great game of football between two very well prepared teams and the replay should provide another thrilling game between these two teams. In Division 2 Spa easily defeated St. Mary’s in their Round 11 game played last Sunday. On this Sunday at 2.00 p.m. Sneem are at home to Annascaul at 2.00 p.m. A win for Sneem will see them well clear of the relegation zone and a win for Annascaul could put them back in contention for the second promotion place. In the hurling final Munster play Connacht at 7.00 p.m. SCÓR NA nÓG More clubs should make the effort to take part in Scór and although Kerry is winning Provincial and All-Ireland titles there should be a greater level of participation by the clubs at the Divisional Board competitions. Scór Na nÓg will soon be getting under way and now is the time for clubs to make that effort and participate at the District Board competitions. Scór Sinsear, Scór Na nÓg and Scór Na bPáistí fulfil the obligation of the GAA club to promote and encourage our national culture and the Irish Language.
