AIB CO. SENIOR HURLING FINAL THIS WEEKEND... This Sunday’s final of the AIB County Senior Hurling between Ballyduff and Causeway at Austin Stack Park, Tralee at 3.30 p.m. promises to be a great occasion as championship fever reaches its climax in both clubs this week. The villages are decorated in their club colours in a fantastic build up to the big day. The curtain raiser to the senior final is the County Intermediate Championship Final at 1.45 p.m.between Kilgarvan and Kilmoyley B. The County Hurling Final attracts very popular support from not only the hurling clubs but from outside the traditional hurling areas as well. There is always very colourful support for the teams and it is a real family occasion as the pride of the parish is very much in evidence. The Neilius Flynn Cup is the prize and the players on both teams will give of their best to bring the cup back to their village. Both teams have been training hard for the final, which we all hope will be a memorable one and that the skills of hurling will be seen at their very best. The Kerry Minor Hurling Team that won this year’s All-Ireland Minor “B” Hurling Championship title will be introduced at half time in the senior final. ALL-IRELAND FINALS The Kerry Supporters can play their part in the build up to the All-Ireland Finals in their towns, villages and work places by proudly showing the Kerry Colours and it is also good to see so many of the younger supporters wearing the Kerry Jersey as their leisure wear. Seeing all the Green and Gold colours around the county will give the teams a great boost.
