KERRY MINORS ADVANCE The Kerry Minors defeated Clare in the Munster Minor Football Championship Semi-final on this Wednesday June 29th at Austin Stack Park, Tralee at 7.30 p.m. In the other semi-final on the same evening Cork defeated Tipperary at The Gaelic Grounds, Limerick. In the first round at the beginning of April, Kerry easily defeated Limerick and Clare shocked Cork with a one-point victory. Tipperary easily defeated Waterford in their first round game. Kerry, Clare and Tipperary qualified for the semi-finals while Cork defeated Waterford and Limerick in the playoffs for the fourth semi-final place. MUNSTER FINAL All attention is now on the Bank Of Ireland Munster Football Final at Páirc Uí Chaoimh on Sunday July 10th. Interest is building up in both counties as the big day approaches and with tickets expected in the county this week we expect that interest to increase. The game is an All Ticket game for the Covered and Uncovered Stands and for the terraces as well. Cork had a massive support at the Munster Hurling Final on Sunday last with the demand for tickets at fever pitch all last week. The same demand is expected for the football final as The Rebel County set about the attempt to win the Hurling and Football double in the same year. As the build up for the Munster Final begins now in earnest we urge our supporters to show their support for the Kerry team by proudly showing the county colours in every town, village and in rural areas as well. Flags and banners ought to be displayed everywhere. Some areas make a really great effort and we hope that their example will encourage others to do the same.
