EAGERLY AWAITED CLASH OF KERRY AND LIMERICK.... It's Munster Football Semi-Final weekend and what a weekend it promises to be. Kerry and Limerick in The Gaelic Grounds, Limerick. The counties have not met since last year's Munster Final replay at Fitzgerald Stadium and unlike last year when we played them in the league semi-final and twice in the championship, this year's contest between the two counties is eagerly awaited. As a result of those close encounters, which turned out to be close shaves as far Kerry were concerned have whetted the appetite even further. The Kerry Juniors play Limerick at 2.15 p.m. and the seniors are putting their Munster title on the line against The Shannonsiders commencing at 4.00 p.m. During the half time break in the senior game the Primary School Selections from Kerry and Limerick will take centre stage in what promises to be a very big occasion for the young players from the national schools of the two counties. So it's going to be a very tense day for the Kerry supporters on Sunday, as they set out for one of the great sporting events in the year's sporting calendar. We urge our supporters to come to The Gaelic Grounds early and give our juniors the best Kerry support possible. The sight of the Green and Gold banners and flags on the terraces and in the stands along with plenty of loud vocal support will give our team a great morale boost in what is going to be a very special day for them. They have prepared well and trained hard all year and the least they can expect from the Kerry Supporters is that they come in good time to support them. Kerry and Limerick games have become very colourful occasions in recent years, adding an extra special flavour to this wonderful sporting occasion. We had a marvellous display of Kerry colour in past championship campaigns. Let's hope for more of the same on Sunday next and give the team plenty of loud vocal support as well. That colourful display of support gives the team a great lift and contributes in some way to lifting the team's performance in their games. Our team deserves our support after all those hard hours of training and preparation during the winter, the personal sacrifices they have made and their determination to do their very best to bring championship honours to Kerry again this year. We wish our teams the best of luck on Sunday. In the semi-final between Cork and Clare played last Sunday at Cusack Park, Ennis, Cork have made it to the Munster Finals on Sunday July 10th after their comfortable victory over the Banner County. ADMISSION PRICES Admission to the Covered Stand €25 and Uncovered Stand €20 will be by ticket only. €15 is the cost of admission for the terrace and cash will be taken at the stiles on the day for admission to the terrace.
