Kerry Petroleum Junior Club Championship Round-Up
In the 2020 Kerry Petroleum Junior Club Football Championship the top two teams in each group qualify for the quarter finals.
In Group 1 Renard and Duagh qualify for the Quarter Finals.
As a result of the game conceded by Valentia, Beale, Scartaglin and Cordal all finish level on 4 points. The tie-breaker criteria come in to play.
In the event that two teams or more finish with equal points, but have been affected by a disqualification, loss of game on a proven objection, retirement or walk over, the tie shall be decided by the following means:
- Score difference from the games in which only the teams involved, the teams tied on points, have played each other. (subtracting the total Score Against from total Score For)
- Highest Total Score For, in which only the teams involved, have played each other, and have finished equal in (1)
- A Play-Off
In this instance, the three teams all finish equal in criteria 1, score difference. Beale go through to the Quarter Finals as a result of having the Highest Total Score For (Criteria 2). Both Scartaglin and Cordal have equal Highest Total Score For, therefore will use Criteria 3, a play-off, to determine the group's second qualifier.
To recap, in Group 2 Beale have qualified for the Quarter Finals and a play-off between Scartaglin and Cordal will determine the other participant from Group 2.
In Group 3 Annascaul and Knocknagoshel qualify for the Quarter Finals.
In Group 4 Tarbert and Castlegregory qualify for the Quarter-Finals.
Teams in the draw: Renard, Duagh, Beale, Scartaglin or Cordal, Annascaul, Knocknagoshel, Tarbert and Castlegregory.
