‘How To Age Well’ seminar was a huge success!
TILDA TALK IN KERRY 10 FEBRUARY 2020
The gale force winds and sleet didn’t deter the large Kerry audience from attending the ‘How to Age Well’ talk from TILDA on Monday last, 10 February 2020.
Kerry GAA Health and Wellbeing Committee wish to thank GAA County Board Chairperson, Tim Murphy and our wonderful ambassador, Eoin ‘Bomber’ Liston who facilitated the event in Kerry.
‘How to Age Well’ is the National initiative between the GAA, TILDA (TCD) and Irish Life.
Over 300 people left The Rose Hotel, Tralee, on Monday night armed with common sense tips based on extensive Irish research, to enable them to live longer healthier lives.
One of the many hints Professor Rose Anne Kenny stressed was that friendship and being socially connected are as important as low cholesterol for preventing heart disease and that laughter is certainly the best medicine.
Kerry GAA Health and Wellbeing Committee wish to thank all who attended, all who helped in any way in organising the event, all who hosted information stands and special mention to Killorglin Mens Choir, who entertained the crowd before the talk.
Míle buíochas díbh go léir.
