We all know that we should lead healthy lives. On Monday 10th February (from 7pm to 9pm) very important information and tips on what we need to do to lead healthy lives will be revealed at a free community talk by leading expert Prof Rose Anne Kenny TCD, supported by Irish Life and hosted by Kerry GAA Health and Wellbeing Committee, in The Rose Hotel Tralee.
For instance did you know -
- That friendship and a good social life is as important as low cholesterol for heart disease?
- That imprints of cellular ageing begin in early childhood?
- That quality of life continues to get better after 50 for almost another 30 years?
The talk in Tralee will highlight why and how exercise, diet, social connectedness, purpose, and location shape our well-being. Kerry GAA Ambassador Eoin ‘Bomber’ Liston encourages everyone to attend this talk saying ‘I would like to encourage people to attend the seminar and hope the clubs put the findings on their websites for the benefit of GAA members and the wider community. They will be doing a great service in helping people in the community to age successfully.”
Entertainment will be provided by the Killorglin Men’s Choir, there will be plenty of exhibitions to visit and refreshments will be served afterwards. Everyone is welcome!
