The Kerry GAA Health and Wellbeing Committee are hosting a safeTALK workshop, on Wednesday 6th November 2019 in the Pavillion, Austin Stack Park starting at 6.30pm.
Clubs are asked to encourage relevant club members, including coaches, club officers and executive members to attend.
SafeTALK is a 3 ½ hour ‘suicide alertness’ programme that prepares participants (over the age of 18 years) to identify and engage with persons who may be having thoughts of suicide.
Participants learn how to provide practical help by using the steps of TALK (Tell, Ask, Listen and Keepsafe) and also gain information on the supports and resources available locally, regionally and nationally.
Application forms have been emailed to all clubs.
Applications to attend this SafeTALK workshop should be submitted by Friday 1st November 2019.
