Congratulations to the Kerry minor hurlers on winning the Division 2 Final of the Celtic Challenge Minor hurling competition [Corn John Scott].
In last Saturday’s final they had a 5 - 16 to 3 - 15 win over Dublin Clarke at Bórd na Móna O'Connor Park, Tullamore. This was Kerry’s first win in this Under 17 competition and is due reward for the amount of preparation put in by both players and management over the past few months. Team captain was Michael Clifford (Abbeydorney) and Ballyheigue’s Colin Walsh won the Player of the Match Award.

County Senior Championship
The opening Round of the 2010 Garvey’s Super Valu Kerry Co. Senior Hurling Championship [Corn Neilus Ó Floinn] is fixed for this weekend. All games will be played at Austin Stack Park, Tralee, with extra time if necessary.
On Saturday, 6 July Ballyheigue meet reigning champions Lixnaw at 5.00p.m. while St. Brendan's take on Abbeydorney at 7.00p.m.
On Sunday, 7 July, Ballyduff play Crotta O'Neill's at 1.30p.m. followed by Kilmoyley v Causeway at 3.30p.m.
Kerry G.A.A. has put in place a weekend ticket to cover admittance to all games costing €20. Tickets can be purchased at Garvey’s SuperValu, Tralee up to close of business on this Friday. Normal admission on the day to each double bill is €15.

Ballyduff won the Lee Strand Co. Under 14 Division 1 hurling league title on Saturday last at Ballyheigue when they had a 1 - 7 to 1 - 4 win over St. Brendan’s in the Final.

The Lee Strand Co. Under 16 Hurling Championship commences on this Thursday, 3 July, 7.00p.m. when South Kerry play Abbeydorney and Kilmoyley meet Tralee Parnell's.
Hurling Cúl Camps
The Kellogg’s GAA Cúl Camps for Hurling in Kerry will continue on Monday next at Lixnaw & Ballyduff (8 - 12 July); Online booking facility www.gaa.ie/kelloggsculcamps The cost is €60 per child with reductions for additional members of families and this includes Kellogg’s GAA Cúl Camp gear (including a jersey, training top and backpack). Open to children between the ages of 6 to 13, times 10.00 am to 2.30pm. daily. Forthcoming camps are: Ballyheigue & Kenmare (15 - 19 July); Causeway & Fitzgerald Stadium, Killarney (22 - 26 July); Abbeydorney (29 July – 2 August); Crotta O’Neill’s – Dromakee (5 – 9 August); Kilmoyley & Tralee Parnell’s - Caherslee (12 – 16 August).
The second North Kerry Under 10 Blitz will take place at Ardfert on this Saturday, 6 July, commencing at 10.00a.m. North Kerry Under 14 results: Abbeydorney 6 - 6 Crotta 6 - 9 Lixnaw 5 - 10 Causeway 2 – 3 / Ballyheigue 3 - 9 Causeway 2 – 4.
The North Kerry Under 13 ‘A’ Championship is due to commence on Monday, 15 July with the ‘B’ competition due to get underway on Friday, 19 July.
