Hurling by Tommy O’Connor
Kerry have qualified for the Division 2 Final of the Celtic Challenge Minor hurling competition.
In last Saturday’s semi-final they had a 2-13 to 2-11 win over Cork City, quite a notable achievement in a game played at Meelin before a large Kerry contingent. Kenmare’s Liam Palmer won the Player of the Match Award.
The Division 2 Final [Corn John Scott] will go ahead on this Saturday, 29 June where the opponents will be Dublin Clarke, one of the two Dublin sides in the competition. Venue will be Bórd na Móna O'Connor Park, Tullamore, time to be confirmed. Check www.gaa.ie/celticchallenge/fixtures for details.

Hurling Cúl Camps 2019
The 2019 Kellogg’s GAA Cúl Camps for Hurling in Kerry will commence on Monday next, 1 July at Ardfert & Rathmore (1 – 5 July);
Note that booking can only be made online and that the online booking facility www.gaa.ie/kelloggsculcamps closes at noon on the Friday preceding the week of the camps. Bookings will not be accepted on the first day of any camp.
The cost remains at €60 per child with reductions for additional members of families and this includes Kellogg’s GAA Cúl Camp gear (including a jersey, training top and backpack).
Open to children between the ages of 6 to 13, times 10.00 am to 2.30pm. daily.
Forthcoming camps are: Lixnaw & Ballyduff (8 - 12 July); Ballyheigue & Kenmare (15 - 19 July); Causeway & Fitzgerald Stadium, Killarney (22 - 26 July); Abbeydorney (29 July – 2 August); Crotta O’Neill’s – Dromakee (5 – 9 August); Kilmoyley & Tralee Parnell’s - Caherslee (12 – 16 August).
Abbeydorney won the Rhyno Quality Feeds North Kerry Senior 'B' League title last Wednesday at Kilmoyley when they had a 3 - 11 to 2 - 12 win over St. Brendan's. Abbeydorney captain, Brian O’Leary, was presented with the Denis O'Halloran Cup by Pat Dineen [Cathaoirleach, Bord Iomána Ciarraí Thuaidh].
The next Under 10 Blitz will take place at Ardfert on Saturday week, 6 July, commencing at 10.00a.m.

Garvey’s Senior Hurling Championship
The draw was made last Monday night for Round 1 of the Garvey’s SHC. The draw is as follows – Kilmoyley V Causeway, Ballyduff V Crotta O’Neills, Ballyheigue V Lixnaw, Abbeydorney V St Brendan’s. Best of luck to all!
