Disappointment for the Kerry senior hurlers last weekend, going down to Laois by 5 - 17 to 1 21 in Round 3 of the Joe McDonagh Cup competition. They have a vitally important game on this Saturday, 15 June when they take on Offaly at Austin Stack Park, 3.00p.m. A win will see them play in the same competition next year; a defeat would mean a drop down to the Christy Ring Cup. Admission is €10 with all Under 16’s free.

The Munster Poc Fada competition will take place over a course at Kerryhead, west of Ballyheigue on this Saturday, 15 June. Tadhg Flynn (Causeway) will represent Kerry in the senior competition, which gets underway at 11:10 a.m. In the Under 16 competition, commencing at 11.00a.m., Keltyn Molloy (Lixnaw) will be the Kerry representative. Competitors from all six Munster counties will be taking partand the winners and runners–up will go forward to the All-Ireland Finals in the Cooley Mountains in Louth later in the year.
