Annascaul are Cahill Cup Champions
Annascaul and St. Michael's/Foilmore contested the Cahill Cup Final on Saturday last at the picturesque Cromane pitch.
Both sides enjoyed periods of supremacy in a most entertaining, sporting and very exciting game with the South Kerry lads staging a major comeback rally to briefly claim the lead in closing moments.
However, the Annascaul lads grasped vital scores in added time to claim victory on a scoreline of 1-12 to 1-11.
Extra time looked on the cards in those closing exciting moments and tremendous credit goes to both teams on their endeavours.
It was heartbreak once again for a gallant St Michael's/Foilmore men who also lost out to Ardfert in last year’s final.
Emmet Kennedy accepted the Cup for his Annascaul side managed by John Lenihan and Tom Kennedy.
