Castleisland Mart Club Championship enters the Final Stage!
A big weekend ahead as six clubs strive for County Honours and 4 clubs fight to maintain their Championship status! All three finals are fixed for Austin Stack Park, Tralee.
First up is the Junior Final on Saturday night between Lios Póil and Beale.
This game throws in at 7pm and admission is €10 for adults and €5 for students and OAPs.
On Sunday it’s a double bill with the Junior Premier final and the Intermediate Final.
At 2pm it’s Na Gaeil versus Beaufort followed at 4pm it’s Glenflesk versus Kilcummin. Admission for adults is €15 and €10 for students and OAPs. All three finals will have extra time if necessary.
It will be tense weekend for Gneeveguilla and Laune Rangers who will fight for their survival in the Intermediate Championship at 1.30pm on Sunday at Lewis Road.
Likewise Ballydonoghue and Annascaul have one chance left to stay in the Junior Premier Championship. Their game throws in at 7pm on Saturday evening in Ballymac. Extra time will be played if necessary. Admission for adults is €8 and €5 for students and OAPs.
Programmes are on sale at all venues. The CCC reminds all clubs involved at the weekend to ensure team lists as printed in Match Programme are accurate and players line out in their designated numbers. Failure to adhere to above may lead to a fine being imposed.
Congratulations to Dr Crokes who retained the Senior Club Title after beating Dingle last weekend. At half time, Dr Crokes were ahead 0-13 to 1-4, Dingle’s goal came from Mikey Geaney. Dr Crokes dominated the second half and Gavin White scored a goal in the dying minutes of the game. The game finished Dr Crokes 1-18 to Dingle’s 1-8. Chairman of the Kerry County Board Tim Murphy and John Brosnan from Castleisland Mart presented the Cup to Dr Crokes Captain John Payne.
