Kerry G.A.A will have a new Hurling Officer for 2018. The nomination of Paudie Dineen (Abbeydorney) was ratified at the Co. Convention on Monday night last. Paudie has a long association with the G.A.A., both with his club and at North Kerry Hurling Board level where he has been involved as Treasurer for many years. Over the past 4 years he was also Assistant Treasurer of the Co. Board. Thanks to the outgoing officer, Gerard McCarthy for the huge amount of work and dedication that he put in as hurling officer over the last 5 years and wish him well in his new post as Munster Council delegate.
Tralee C.B.S. went down narrowly, 1 - 9 to 1 - 8, to Mount Sion C.B.S. (Waterford) in the Munster Senior ‘E’ Colleges hurling final played at Mallow last Wednesday. It was a great achievement to get to this final. The team was comprised mainly of players from Tralee Parnell’s and Crotta, with representatives also from St. Brendan’s, Kilmoyley, Ballyheigue and team captain, David Couchman (Abbeydorney). Well done to all involved.
The Crotta O’Neill’s Hurling Club Annual Convention is scheduled for this Saturday, 16 December in the St. Columba Centre, Kilflynn at 7.00p.m.
