Munster Club Football Roundup


Dr Crokes survived a stiff test from Clonmel Commercials in the first defence of their Munster and All Ireland Club titles in Clonmel on Sunday last. The home side had a two points half time lead and despite being reduced to fourteen men early in the second half, the Killarney side drove on to record a 0-14 to 0-8 victory. They have home venue in the semi final when they take on Clare Champions Kilmurry-Ibrickane on the weekend of November 12. The winners will play Nemo Rangers or Adare on November 26th.


In the Intermediate Championship, An Ghaeltacht will play Cork Champions, Mallow in Mallow on the weekend of November 12th The winners of that game will play Kiladangan (Tipperary), St Senans (Limerick) or Kilmihil (Clare) in the final on the weekend of November 26th.


In the Junior Championship, Dromid Pearses travel to the Loop Head peninsula to play Naomh Eoin of Clare in the quarter final on Sunday next. The winners of that game have home venue against Galtee Gaels or Croom of Limerick in the semi final on the weekend of November 19th. The final is fixed for December 3rd in Mallow. The third GAA Club in the parish of Rathmore, Knocknagree are on the other side of the draw.
