Senior Football Championship Relegation Play-off
The curtain raiser to Sunday’s game is the Senior Football Championship Relegation playoff between Kerins O’Rahillys and Kilcummin.
The senior football championship regulations passed in 2015 deemed that relegation from the championship would be based on a club’s performance in the Club Championship.
In that competition, Kenmare Shamrocks surprised O’Rahillys in Strand Road while Ratmore defeated Kilcummin by a point. Both then progressed to the Round 1 of the Relegation playoff where O’Rahillys were well beaten by Austin Stacks and Kilcummin went down to a heavy defeat at the hands of Dingle.
The losers of Sunday’s game which throws in at 1pm, will play Intermediate football next season. Referee is Jonathan Griffin of Glenbeigh-Glencar.
