With the exception of one game in Division 5, all scheduled games in Round 8 of the Credit Union Senior football league were played last weekend and this weekend will see another hectic weekend of activity as Round 9 takes center stage on the club front. With the exception of the Rathmore v Milltown-Castlemaine game in Division 2 which has already been played, there is a full round of games in all Divisions.
The vast majority of games will be played on Sunday due to Kerry’s involvement in the All Ireland Junior semi final on Saturday but there are a number of exceptions and the Scartaglen V Keel game in Division 4 is fixed for Friday evening.
Kilcummin and Ardfert meet in a Division 2 Round 8 back game on this Wednesday evening.
With just three rounds remaining, the competition is beginning to take shape but there is a lot of football yet to be played before the promotion and relegation issues are sorted.
Round 10 is down for decision on the weekend of August 13th.
